Your contributions to scholarships provide tuition and material support for Djolu students and faculty. We have two programs that receive your gifts:
The Véronique Lokasola Scholarship Program for Faculty
Djolu Technical College (DTC) is growing and thriving in a remote rainforest region of the Democratic Republic of Congo. As it grows, the college needs to deepen its bench of local professors to teach advanced courses in conservation, sustainable agriculture and other rural sciences. Visiting professors are expensive and their schedules can disrupt the academic year.
The Véronique Lokasola Scholarship Program was established by Congo Education Partners to help solve this problem. The Program gives scholarships to selected DTC graduates and faculty members. It allows these committed professors to attend universities elsewhere and obtain advanced degrees in the academic specialties most needed by the College. They then return to Djolu Technical College and teach.
The Patience Bonoko Bolayi Program for Students
The Patience Bonoko Bolayi Scholarship Program was established in 2018 to honor the memory of the former Director-General of Djolu Technical College (DTC). These scholarships help fund college tuition at DTC for promising students from the Djolu region. Applications from female students are particularly encouraged.
Djolu Technical College is the only accredited technical college in Tshuapa province of the Democratic Republic of Congo. The college provides higher education in sustainable development and agriculture, healthcare, and forest conservation. Faculty and students of DTC are from local forest villages. They are committed to reinvesting their knowledge into their communities and helping their rainforests thrive.
Congo Education Partners is a fiscally sponsored project of Multiplier, an established American 501(c)(3) organization.
